Double National Glory

Yet another good day for Star of the Sea Athletes in Tullamore at the National Juvenile Track & Field Championships. Robert Tully  and Andrew Coscoran again showed why they are stars in the making.

Andrew and Padraig Moran from Mullingar battled it out to the line with Andrew winning in 4:02 to Padraig’s 4:03, which was a thrilling last lap battle. In 3rd place was liam Hennesy from togher in 4:07.

Two races later and it was Robert Tully’s turn to try match his clubmate with a win – and he didnt disappoint.  Robert just fresh from the Morton Games 800m during the week, competed in the U19 1500m race. He went from the gun and completed the first lap in 60seconds and then eased back to 66seconds for the following laps.
