Coscoran ends 2013 T&F Season as #1 on Fast List

The results have been taken and the times have been recorded, and one thing is clear – Star of the Sea’s Andrew Coscoran is leading the way. Nationally, Andrew takes the top spot with the quickest 1500m and 3000m this year in the u18 category. His 3000m times keeps him 2nd on the list for all Irish athletes under 20 years of age, while he ranks 7th quickest for 1500m in the same category – not too bad for a 17year old.

Andrew’s 2013 seasons bests: 1500m: 3.55.80minutes, 3000m 8.32.49mnutes

Robert Tully Jnr also made the list for 400m, 800m, and 1500m. In his age group, under 19, Rob was 6th quickest over 800m, 9th over 1500m ad 9th over 3000m. Robs 2013 seasons bests: 400m: 50.91seconds, 800m 1.51.97, 3000m 9.00.00minutes

In the National Overall 2013 Male Rankings, Star of the Sea’s Kourosh Foroughi showed us that he really is the Decathlon man having been ranked in the Top 10 of all Irish Male Athletes in 5 events, and in the top 15 for another 2 events.

Kourosh ranked 3rd in the indoor high jump with a jump of 2.05m, and 5th in the outdoor rankings with 2.05m – not bad since he has had an ankle injury and not ‘competitively’ jumping at the moment – he has a personal best of 2.20m. In the indoor 60m hurdles Kourosh ranks 4th in a time of 8.41seconds, while outdoors he ranks 8th over 110mHurdles (15.17seconds). In his newest event, the Pole Vault he ranks 9th with a jump of 3.90metres. He also ranks 13th for indoor shot (10.97metres), and 14th for indoor long jump (6.58metres).
